Entry requirements

A university entrance qualification is required. It is desirable to have credit for NCEA Level 3 in Agriculture / Horticulture / Biology / Chemistry / Geography, Economics / Modelling and Statistics, plus literacy and numeracy. Study in at least some of these subjects will help your transition to University study.

Bachelor of AgriCommerce (Food Marketing and Retailing) structure

At Massey a credit system is used for our degrees. To complete a Bachelor of AgriCommerce the following is required.

  • Total of 360 credits completed. That’s 24 courses of 15 credits each
  • Up to 165 credits (11 courses) may be completed at 100-level
  • At least 195 credits (13 courses) completed above first year. Of these 75 credits or more must be from 300-level courses
  • 26 weeks of relevant practical work and two associated reports
