Arts on Wednesday

Arts on Wednesday features emerging arts talent at Massey, national and international talents. Arts on Wednesday performances includes multi-media, film, drama, dance and music.

Research seminars

The school runs a regular programme of research seminars featuring Massey staff and visiting professors on topics as diverse as documentary film, science writing and poetry.

Off the Page writers series

The Off the Page writers series features some of New Zealand’s best writers. Past readers have included Bill Manhire, Elizabeth Knox, Owen Marshall, Fiona Farrell and Vincent O’Sullivan.

Memory Research in Aotearoa
New Zealand and the Pacific

Over the last two decades or more, memory research has established itself as an interdisciplinary field spanning (and often crossing) subject areas. 

Performing Arts and Justice Symposium

A two-day symposium/hui drawing together performers, arts practitioners, researchers and justice professionals to explore the potential of theatre and the creative arts to transform the justice system. 

Visiting artist scheme

The Visiting artist scheme enables three artists per year to be based for one semester each at the School of English and Media Studies. Massey University and Palmerston North Community Arts have run the scheme since 2004.
