Before arriving at your Massey University campus there are some important tasks you can complete to be Massey-ready. To help you with this, we've broken those tasks down into two groups:
It is essential you complete these tasks before you arrive at uni:
If you receive an Offer of Place and want to accept, you need to log in to the student portal to complete the online acceptance process and confirm your place.
StudyLink helps students make informed choices about student finance, and how to apply and manage their finance online.
As a full-time domestic student you may qualify for student finance or a student allowance to meet your living costs as well.
You can apply for your student ID card online before you arrive on campus.
If you plan to live on campus while you study with Massey, it's important you register for accommodation early.
Use the Student Accommodation Portal to register for accommodation at the campus you will be studying at.
It is just a matter of days before you arrive! We recommend you:
The Massey Uni app brings you essential info where ever you are. The app is designed for students at Massey's three campuses (Auckland, Manawatū and Wellington).
During an emergency, Massey University will use the ping4alerts! system to send alerts to members of the University community. The system allows the University to send alerts to tablet and smartphone users, within a specific geographic location who have installed the ping4alerts! app on their device.
The app will only be used to send emergency alerts and for testing, which will occur every second month including at that start of each semester.
Timetabling is where you plan your study schedule for the semester. You will find all the information and help in your MyMassey account.
College of Creative Arts students will find their timetable information in Stream
Each campus is running a how-to session on timetabling during orientation. We highly recommend you attend a session.
It is a good idea to read the pre-orientation page in Stream, Massey's online learning centre. The information on this page will help you prepare for your first semester.
Before you arrive, it's a good idea to familiarise yourself with the campus you will be studying at.
Your first month is an important time to set up your Massey student experience. It will be a busy few weeks, so we've put together some useful information to help you familiarise yourself with the campus and learn about the student services.
