Advertising vacancies

We can help you to recruit students and recent graduates for temporary work experience and for graduate opportunities. Work experience offers a cost effective way of raising your profile on campus and of trialling potential future graduate employees.

Massey, in common with many NZ universities subscribes to NZUniCareerHub.  This is an online job board for students and graduates through which employers can target Massey students or graduates or recruit from all participating universities.

It carries a vast range of opportunities including graduate roles, internships, vacation and part-time work, work abroad and scholarships. Advertising for scholarships, voluntary, and charitable not-for-profit organisations is free of charge. Follow the link below to find out more and to register your organisation with NZUniCareerHub:

Internships and practicum placements

A number of Massey programmes include a work placement element. We can help you to recruit a suitable student from these programmes for your organisation.

Career expos

We host a number of career expos on our campuses, including volunteer expos on all three campuses; accountancy and finance expos in Albany and the Manawatu and a general expo on our Manawatu campus.  Participation in these can be a great way to meet students and for them to meet you and to raise the profile of your organisation amongst our students and recent graduates.

In common with the other NZ universities that subscribe to NZUniCareerHub, we post provisional dates for career expos here.

Information sessions

These can take place on any one of Massey’s campuses and are an opportunity for you to present information to a targeted group of students We can assist with publicising your session; advising on the timing of it; targeting your information to the appropriate audience; booking rooms and audio visual equipment that meets your requirements (subject to availability) and arranging any catering that you would like to provide.

Interview facilities

Subject to availability, any one of our three main campuses may have facilities available in which you can interview selected job applicants. We can also help with catering; audio-visual requirements and with scheduling your interviews.

Assisting with workshops and seminars

Throughout the year, we offer a range of workshops, seminars and talks to our students on a variety of career-related topics. These range from sessions on career choice through CV development and interview techniques to ones on particular roles and sectors (e.g. careers in marketing or media). We would welcome your involvement in these and can advise on potential topics.

This involvement can enhance your profile; offer you access to students interested in your organisation and sector; act as a conduit to academic colleagues at Massey and assist you to target an able group of potential job applicants.

Scholarships & awards

These can be a great way of forming good and early links with some of our most able students. They can be targeted to a specific faculty or discipline, or a specific group of students - for example, Maori or Pacific Island students, those undertaking distance studies and students with a disability. Of particular interest to you may be the Massey University Foundation.
